is a Phoenix area native. He grew up in Tempe and went to Arizona State University for six years to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and a Master’s Degree in Music Performance on the Double Bass. Since his time at ASU, Benitez has established himself as a go-to bass player in the Phoenix area, playing with symphony orchestras such as MusicaNova, Symphony of the Southwest, and the West Valley Symphony, among many more, along with playing musical theater productions with Arizona Broadway Theatre, Phoenix Theatre Company, and now Arizona Theatre Company. Along with his frequent professional performances, Benitez serves as the Director of Orchestras at Gilbert High School.
