Inside ATC Artist: Mathew DeVore

Mathew DeVore

most recently was Sound Designer of ATC’s Barefoot in the Park and last season’s The Glass Menagerie, as well as Associate Sound Designer of The Legend of Georgia McBride.DeVore is no stranger to the company – he first began working with ATC in Phoenix in 2006 when he was part of the Herberger Theater Center staff. DeVore moved to Tucson in 2011 to become ATC’s Production Sound Engineer and, in 2019, he took on the role of Sound Supervisor. Other sound design credits include Noises Off, No Way to Treat a Lady, Nine, and Boeing Boeing (Phoenix Theatre); Fences, Crumbs from the Table of Joy, My Secret Language of Wishes, and Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill (Black Theatre Troupe); and Charlotte’s Web and the world premiere of Unstoppable Me (Phoenix Theatre’s former Cookie Company). As engineer for ATC, favorite shows he mixed include Next To Normal, Xanadu, and American Mariachi. He is thrilled to be designing for this production.
