Her accomplishments include winning the international competition of Fresno Cello and showcasing her talent by playing the Paganini variations on one string with their symphony orchestra. Based in Mesa, she passionately maintains a cello studio, dedicated to helping others discover joy and passion in playing music. Hunt is actively involved in Arizona’s cultural institutions, performing in esteemed institutions such as The Tucson and Phoenix symphonies, along with The Phoenix Theatre. She currently serves as a member on the board of Cellobration and was formerly principal cellist of the Symphony of the Southwest. Holding a cello performance degree from Arizona State University, Hunt has additionally studied with renowned mentors like Lynn Harrell, Andrew Mark, Steven Doane, Timothy Eddy, and Uri Vardi. In her leisure time, Hunt enjoys spending time with her dog Louie, competitive swimming, and hiking.
