is a freelance musician working in Tucson and Phoenix performing with a wide mix of music ensembles, and he performs on all manner of orchestral, popular, and world music percussion and electric bass. Recent performances include performing as either Timpanist or Percussionist with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, the Arizona Opera, the Tucson Pops Orchestra, Arts Express, and many others. Walton has also performed with several touring Broadway productions, including the recent national tours of Ain’t Too Proud (The Story of the Temptations), Tina, Wicked, Anastasia, Beautiful: The Carol King Story, Hairspray, 42nd Street, The Full Monty, and Dr. Dolittle. He has also performed as a bassist with the salsa/Latin-jazz groups Descarga, Salsarengue, Combo Unica, and Lo-Bros, as drum set artist and/or bassist with Reno del Mar, and as a solo steel drum artist with the group Steel del Sol. Walton is past Principal Timpanist and Principal Percussionist with the Acadiana, the LakeCharles, and the Rapides Symphonies of Louisiana, as well as numerous regional symphony orchestras around the country. He also performed, toured nationally, and recorded with the chamber music quartet Pastiche.
