Inside ATC Artist: Ashlee Wasmund

Ashlee Wasmund

is honored to be joining ATC for the first time after an ill-fated plan to first do so in Spring 2020. She is the Founding Artistic Lead of Calliope Stage Company, which focuses on developing regional new work in its North Carolina community and is a lucky neighbor of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. For the past five years, she has served as the Program Director of Musical Theatre & Dance at Western Carolina University’s School of Stage & Screen and enjoyed working with theaters such as New Light Theater Project in NYC (Resident Artist), Milwaukee Rep, and Merrimack Rep, and bringing works to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Prior to mountain life, Ashlee worked locally in Chicago as an actor, director, choreographer, and educator. Funding for position provided by: Western Carolina University’s Office of the Provost and Office of the Chancellor as well as support from WCU’s School of Stage & Screen.
