Students of today are the artists of tomorrow.

ATC’s Education programs inspire creativity in students across the state in a number of ways, both connected to our stages and beyond our walls. Whether you are looking for an immersive summer experience, or a theater to be involved in throughout the school year, we want you to make ATC your new artistic home.

ATC Academy is proud to present …

Winter on Stage!

Is it possible to mount a play in one week?  ATC’s Winter on Stage says yes you can!

Join us for an intensive theatre experience where you rehearse, produce, and design a 10–minute play for performance in just one week!

Students will develop performance and technical theatre skills as they imagine a fully realized play. ATC staff and teaching artists support an extraordinary winter break learning experience, leading participants through staging and designing a fully produced performance in the Cabaret Theatre at the historic Temple of Music and Art in Downtown Tucson.

There is something for everyone in this weeklong theatre experience from performing, to building and designing. Join us for a fun-filled week of theatre in a fun, fast-paced atmosphere. Space is limited, so register today!

ATCteen

ATCteen is  a program designed with the student in mind.  We are actors, directors, writers, designers, improvisers, and theatregoers. ATCteen brings together a diverse group of teens aged 13-18 from the Tucson area. We write, direct, and perform in our own productions, see plays from local theatre companies, explore different ATC departments through interactive workshops, and get a behind-the-scenes look at what happens at Arizona Theatre Company through workshops and interactions with professional artists.

Our mission is to teach and create world-class theatre about what it means to be alive today – inspiring curiosity, sparking empathy and joy – bringing all Arizonans together.  ATCteen is designed to encourage the next generation of theatre audiences and professionals, preparing them to think critically and creatively about the world they live in through experience-based programming.

We offer:

  • Teen Artist Series of plays performed in a professional theatre setting
  • Student run events and fundraisers.
  • Two free tickets to Teen Preview Night for ATC productions
  • Educational events
  • Monthly theatre workshops designed just for ATCteen members
  • And much more!

ATCteen Members: To become an ATCteen member, follow the link below, fill out registration form and submit the $50 membership fee. All members have the opportunity to participate in the monthly meetings and up to four projects per year, but your level of involvement and the amount of time you commit to ATCteen each month is up to you.
